Was ist Teakholz?<\/h1>\n

Teakholz<\/p><\/div>\n

Der Teakbaum (oder Teak) ist ein tropisches Hartholz<\/strong> der Lippenbl\u00fctler-Familie. Urspr\u00fcnglich kommt er aus den laubwerfenden Monsunw\u00e4ldern S\u00fcd- und S\u00fcdostasiens. Er bereichert uns mit einem sehr wertvollem Holz und geh\u00f6rt zu den wichtigsten Exporth\u00f6lzern Asiens.<\/p>\n

Teakholz hat eine honigbraune Farbe, die sehr auffallend ist. Die Vorteile von Teakholz liegen in seiner langen Lebensdauer und seiner Schutzschicht, die sich Patina nennt. Da Teakholz bis zu 5% reinen Kautschuk<\/a> enth\u00e4lt, f\u00fchlt es sich etwas \u00f6lig an.<\/p>\n

Gegen\u00fcber Insekten, Chemikalien und Pilzen ist dieses Holz<\/a> besonders resistent. Die Eigenschaften von Teakholz werden oft mit den Eigenschaften von Eichenholz<\/a> gleichgestellt, da beide sehr hart und fest sind und eine hohe Dichte haben. Das Holz ist behandelt auch in feuchten Gebieten einsetzbar und hat ein sehr geringes Gewicht.<\/p>\n

Wie sieht Teakholz aus?<\/h2>\n

Teakholz ist ein honigbraunes Holz<\/strong>, welches sehr auffallend ist. Wenn das Teakholz unbehandelt bleibt, nimmt es bei starken Witterungen eine silbergraue Farbe an, welche Patina<\/strong> hei\u00dft und charakteristisch f\u00fcr gealtertes Teakholz ist. Bleibt das Holz jedoch unbehandelt, verf\u00e4rbt sich nach einiger Zeit diese Patina-Farbe dunkelgrau, die manchmal sogar leicht gr\u00fcnlich wird. Dieser Prozess kann aber auch schon nach ein paar Wochen auftreten. Das passiert aber nur, wenn das Holz feuchtem Klima ausgesetzt wird. Wenn man aber keine Patina auf dem Holz m\u00f6chte, sollte man es regelm\u00e4\u00dfig \u00f6len oder wachsen. Die Strukturierung von Teakholz ist ausgepr\u00e4gt mit feinen dunkelbraunen Streifen. Au\u00dferdem bekommt das Holz beim schr\u00e4gen Anschnitt eine gr\u00f6bere Maserung<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Teakholz-M\u00f6bel<\/a> wie beispielsweise ein Teakholz-Bett, zeichnen sich durch ihre Langlebigkeit und Resistenz gegen\u00fcber Insekten und Pilzen aus. Deswegen ist Teakholz auch besonders geeignet f\u00fcr M\u00f6bel, die der Witterung ausgesetzt sind oder stark beansprucht werden. Dazu z\u00e4hlen Teakholz-Esszimmerst\u00fchle, ein Teakholz-Esszimmertisch<\/a>, Teakholz-Gartenliegen und auch eine Teakholzgartengarnitur. Teakholzlatten werden h\u00e4ufig f\u00fcr Terassenb\u00f6den verwendet.<\/p>\n

Teakholz: Pflege und Reinigung<\/h2>\n

Da Teakm\u00f6bel \u00fcberwiegend als Teakholz Garten-M\u00f6bel<\/a> verwendet werden, sind sie zu jeder Jahreszeit der Witterung ausgesetzt, daher ben\u00f6tigt das Holz eine besondere Pflege. Teakholz sollte man mindestens einmal im Jahr behandeln. Die Frage ist nun: Muss man Teakholz \u00f6len? Teakholz sollte ge\u00f6lt werden, wenn man verhindern m\u00f6chte, dass das Holz die Patina-Schicht annimmt. F\u00fcr die Reinigung kann man Teakholz\u00f6l<\/strong> verwenden. Dieses \u00d6l tr\u00e4gt man am besten mit einem Tuch<\/strong> oder Lappen aus Leinen<\/a> auf. Man muss aber darauf achten, dass das Holz sauber ist, sonst schlie\u00dft man den Dreck mit dem \u00d6l ein.<\/p>\n

Hat sich die Patina bereits schon gebildet, kann man es auf verschiedene Wege reinigen. Die einfachste M\u00f6glichkeit ist, dass man die Patina mit einer normalen Wurzelb\u00fcrste<\/strong> f\u00fcr Teakholz und etwas Seifenlauge in Faserrichtung abschrubbt. Man kann aber auch einen Teakholz-Reiniger, bzw. Hochdruckreiniger<\/strong> verwenden, dabei muss man jedoch vorsichtig sein. Hier ist es dann aber wichtig, dass man den Druck minimiert und den Hochdruckreiniger nicht zu nah an das Holz h\u00e4lt. Wenn der Druck zu hoch ist, kann die Oberfl\u00e4che vom Teakholz anrauen. Man sollte sich deshalb langsam an das Holz herantasten.<\/p>\n

Eine andere und aufw\u00e4ndigere M\u00f6glichkeit ist, dass man die Patina abschleift. Um ein sauberes und ordentliches Ergebnis zu erzielen, ist es wichtig, dass man das Holz nicht zu stark behandelt. Diese Methode kostet jedoch viel Zeit und erfordert viel Geduld, da man alle Kanten und Ecken mit der Hand reinigt.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
