Was ist Rattan bzw. Rattangeflecht?<\/h1>\n

Rattan<\/p><\/div>\n

Rattan ist ein Naturprodukt<\/strong>, welches zur Herstellung geflochtener M\u00f6bel und K\u00f6rbe genutzt wird. Der Rohstoff wird aus der ostasiatischen Rotangpalme<\/strong> (auch: Rattanpalme genannt) gewonnen und bezeichnet die bis zu 200 m langen Lianen dieser Palmen. Der Kern der holzigen Triebe ist auch als Peddigrohr bekannt. Neben dem Begriff Rattan werden im deutschen Sprachgebrauch auch oft die W\u00f6rter Stuhlrohr oder Rotang verwendet. Rattan geh\u00f6rt \u00fcbrigens zu den \u00e4ltesten flechtbaren Stoffen der Welt.<\/p>\n

Herstellung von Rattan<\/h2>\n

Die Str\u00e4nge der Rotanpalme werden per Hand geerntet, ges\u00e4ubert und getrocknet. Je nach Verwendungszeweck werden die Rohre zugeschnitten und nach Material-Dicke sortiert. Das Rohr l\u00e4sst sich n\u00e4mlich spalten und auf die gew\u00fcnschten Ma\u00dfe hobeln.<\/p>\n

Bevor Rattan jedoch zu einem M\u00f6belst\u00fcck oder Korbgeflecht weiterverarbeitet werden kann, muss es eingeweicht werden, um die Triebe geschmeidig und elastisch zu machen.<\/p>\n

Rattan: Verwendung und Eigenschaften<\/h2>\n

Rattan eignet sich nicht nur f\u00fcr K\u00f6rbe<\/strong> oder St\u00fchle<\/strong>, sondern auch f\u00fcr besondere Bettrahmen<\/strong> oder Garten-M\u00f6bel. Neben der Verwendung in der M\u00f6bel-Branche, k\u00f6nnen d\u00fcnne Rattan-Rohre auch zu Rohrst\u00f6cken, B\u00f6gen<\/strong> oder Teppichklopfern verarbeitet werden.<\/p>\n

Au\u00dferdem werden aus robustem Rattanholz auch Schlagst\u00f6cke gefertigt, die in verschiedenen asiatischen Kampfk\u00fcnsten zum Einsatz kommen. Eine besondere Verwendungsform von Rattan findet sich in der Musikindustrie. Hier wird Rattan im Bereich der Schlag-Instrumente<\/strong> zu Schl\u00e4geln verarbeitet.<\/p>\n

Produkte, die aus Rattan gefertigt wurden, haben eine lange Lebensdauer<\/strong>, sind stabil, strapazierf\u00e4hig<\/strong> und haben ein geringes Gewicht, sodass sich Rattanm\u00f6bel leicht im Zimmer bewegen lassen. Das besondere Wickelrohr ist massiv und nicht hohl in der Mitte. Au\u00dferdem sind M\u00f6belst\u00fccke und Korbwaren aus Rattan immer handgefertigt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Pflege von Rattanm\u00f6beln<\/h2>\n

    M\u00f6bel aus Rattan sind leicht zu pflegen und k\u00f6nnen mit einem trockenen Staubtuch<\/strong> gereinigt werden. Damit Rattan elastisch bleibt, k\u00f6nnen die M\u00f6bel von Zeit zu Zeit mit einem Zerst\u00e4uber leicht angefeuchtet<\/strong> werden.
