Dieser Standard zeichnet Textilien aus, die aus biologisch erzeugten Naturfasern verarbeitet wurden. Dabei werden entlang der Textillieferkette unabh\u00e4ngige Zertifizierungen vergeben. So sollen alle Schritte einer Kontrolle unterzogen werden. Der GOTS definiert diese umwelttechnischen Anforderungen, sowie die einzuhaltenden Sozialkriterien.<\/p>\n<h2>GOTS \u2013 Die Ziele<\/h2>\n<p>Ein Ziel ist die <strong>nachhaltige Herstellung<\/strong> von Textilien. Dazu will die internationale Arbeitsgruppe des GOTS Anforderungen und Kriterien definieren, die die gesamte Lieferkette, Gewinnung und Produktion der Textilien betreffen. Dabei sollen textile Rohfasern, bzw. Naturfasern gewonnen werden. Zudem ist ihr Ziel eine <strong>umweltvertr\u00e4gliche Herstellung<\/strong>, sowie die gepr\u00fcfte Kennzeichnung der textilen Endprodukte. Mit dieser Zertifizierung wollen sie dem Verbraucher <strong>Sicherheit geben<\/strong>, mit einem Siegel, welches auf relevanten M\u00e4rkten anerkannt ist.<\/p>\n<h2>Die Kriterien von GOTS<\/h2>\n<p>Der GOTS deckt verschiedene Schritte von der Gewinnung bis zum Vertrieb eines Produktes ab. Dazu geh\u00f6ren:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gewinnung<\/li>\n<li>Herstellung<\/li>\n<li>Konfektion<\/li>\n<li>Verpackung<\/li>\n<li>Kennzeichnung<\/li>\n<li>Handel<\/li>\n<li>Vertrieb<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Die GOTS Kontrolle sieht vor, dass die Textilien aus mindestens 70% biologisch erzeugten Naturfasern bestehen m\u00fcssen. Dazu z\u00e4hlen Produkte aus textilen Fasern wie beispielsweise Garne, Bekleidung, Stoffe oder Heimtextilien. Zun\u00e4chst m\u00fcssen nationale und internationale Standards bei dem Bioanbau eingehalten werden. Ein Textilprodukt, welches die GOTS-Kennzeichnung Bio oder <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wohnen-shop.at\/lexikon\/kba\/\">kbA<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wohnen-shop.at\/lexikon\/kbt\/\">kbT<\/a> aufweist, muss zu <strong>mindestens 95%<\/strong> aus kontrolliert biologisch erzeugten Naturfasern bestehen. Andere Produkte, die mit hergestellt aus x% kbA\/kbT Fasern ausgezeichnet sind, m\u00fcssen immerhin noch zu <strong>mindestens<\/strong> <strong>70%<\/strong> aus kontrolliert biologisch erzeugten Naturfasern sein.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00fcr die Produktion gilt noch eine Reihe von anderen GOTS Kriterien, diese sind:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Produkte aus biologisch erzeugten Naturfasern m\u00fcssen in allen Produktionsschritten von anderen Fasern <strong>getrennt behandelt<\/strong> werden und <strong>klar zu erkennen sein<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Es d\u00fcrfen nur chemische Zus\u00e4tze genutzt werden, wenn sie vorher gepr\u00fcft wurden und bestimmte Anforderungen in Bezug auf Toxizit\u00e4t oder biologischer Abbaubarkeit erf\u00fcllen.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chlorbleiche<\/strong> ist verboten, es d\u00fcrfen nur Bleichmittel genutzt werden, die auf Sauerstoff basieren.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Azofarbstoffe<\/strong> sind verboten.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00c4tzdruckverfahren<\/strong> sowie <strong>Plastisol-Druckverfahren<\/strong> sind verboten.<\/li>\n<li>Die Betriebe m\u00fcssen eigenst\u00e4ndig \u00fcber ein <strong>Umweltschutzprogramm<\/strong> verf\u00fcgen, so sollen zum Beispiel Abf\u00e4lle und Abwasser eingeschr\u00e4nkt werden.<\/li>\n<li>Das letztliche <strong>Verpackungsmaterial<\/strong> darf kein PVC enthalten, besteht eine Verpackung aus Papier oder Pappe, so m\u00fcssen diese nach den Richtlinien des <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wohnen-shop.at\/lexikon\/fsc\/\">FSC<\/a> oder PEFC zertifiziert sein.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Es gibt auch eine Reihe von <strong>sozialen Mindestkriterien<\/strong>, die eingehalten werden m\u00fcssen. Dazu geh\u00f6ren zum Beispiel: sichere und hygienische Arbeitsbedingungen, Mindestlohn, Verbot von Kinderarbeit, regul\u00e4re Besch\u00e4ftigung, Verbot von inhumaner Behandlung und \u00fcberm\u00e4\u00dfiger Arbeitszeit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Neben dem GOTS Siegel gibt es noch eine Reihe weiterer Siegel und Standards.
